The 1874 Hudson-Athens Lighthouse is the only one of two remaining lighthouses situated in the middle of the Hudson River today. Your donation will help rebuild and restore its underwater foundation and above-water structure. Your monthly contribution will all go to the materials and upkeep of the lighthouse.

Donate Stock
When you donate appreciated securities, you are able to deduct the gift as a charitable donation and avoid capital gains tax at transfer. This allows you to leverage a larger donation by using appreciated securities rather than cash to make your gift.

Donate Cryptocurrency
When you donate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, usually you owe no capital gains tax. Instead, when donating crypto, you receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the crypto, and you avoid the capital gains tax that you would have incurred if you had sold the crypto and then donated to Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society.
